Hi, I'm Lesley Meinema, the Perth Marriage Celebrant behind Journeys of Love.
I'm a fully Authorised Marriage Celebrant based in Perth, Western Australia, and over the past 8 years I've had the absolute privilege of marrying hundreds of wonderful couples across the Perth metro area and beyond, from intimate elopements in the Swan Valley to lavish celebrations in the Northern Suburbs and everywhere in between.

I bring a background in business management to everything I do, which means my couples get more than just beautiful words — they get exceptional organisation, meticulous attention to detail (my husband can vouch for that!), and a celebrant who guides them through every step of the process with clarity and care. From your first enquiry through to lodging your marriage documents, you'll always know exactly what's happening and what comes next.
Whether you're planning a micro wedding or elopement, a relaxed laid-back ceremony, or a full lavish celebration with all the bells and whistles, I personalise every ceremony to reflect your unique love story. And because I also offer ceremony styling packages — including arbors, chairs, aisle décor and welcome boards — I can help bring your whole ceremony vision to life, all through one person.
I am proudly affiliated with the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and am a strong supporter of Marriage Equality. Every couple is welcome here.

As a celebrant, I’m all about creating wedding ceremonies filled with heart, laughter and genuine moments. The kind that feel truly you.
No cookie-cutter scripts, no awkward bits, just a beautiful, meaningful celebration that tells your story in a way that feels natural, relaxed and authentic.
Whether you’re dreaming of something simple and intimate, a big celebration full of personality and fun, or a complete ceremony and styling package to save you time and stress, we make sure your ceremony sets the perfect tone for your day. Blending sentiment with a few laughs, keeping things relaxed while capturing all the emotion and joy of the moment, is at the heart of everything I do.
Choosing the right celebrant is about finding someone you feel comfortable with, someone who truly gets your vibe. So, when we first meet, it’s all about getting to know each other and seeing if we click.
If we’re a match, we’ll chat about your love story, and I’ll guide you through each step of your ceremony. I’ll take care of all the legal requirements, including your Notice of Intended Marriage, which must be lodged at least one month before your wedding day (and can be completed up to 18 months in advance).
Before the big day, I’ll send you a draft of your ceremony to review and refine, and I’ll personalise and print your vow cards so everything feels just right.
On the day itself, I’ll be right by your side, guiding you through every moment until I proudly pronounce you married.
And it doesn’t stop there. Once the confetti has settled, I’ll send you everything you need to apply for your state Official Marriage Certificate, a copy of your ceremony, guidance on changing your name, and I’m always here to help if you need anything at all.
